sect.sh is a place to invent religions. Name a deity, carve commandments, set holy days, and ask the oracle to write your creation myth, prayers and prophecies. Then gather followers, ordain prophets and clergy, and let your congregation talk among themselves.

Some people come here to make a joke with friends. Others are novelists and game masters building pantheons for their worlds. Both are welcome, and both get the same tools.

Fiction, on purpose

Every religion on sect.sh is user-created fiction. It's a space for satire, worldbuilding and play, not for mocking real faiths or the people who hold them. The oracle is instructed accordingly, and so are we.

How we make money

Founding, following and community are free. Anyone can Ascend a religion they love with a one-time payment, and Worldbuilders subscribe for private faiths, worlds and a canon-aware oracle. See pricing.

Scripture is written by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, from the details each founder provides. It can be strange, funny or moving, and it can occasionally get things wrong.
