Privacy Policy

Draft for the sect.sh prototype. This policy has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

What we store

• Your username and a hashed version of your password (never the password itself)
• What you create: religions, posts, replies, scripture, candles, and your bio
• Purchase records for Ascend and Worldbuilder

We don't ask for your email address, real name or location.

Cookies

• A session cookie that keeps you signed in
• A theme cookie that remembers light or dark mode

We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

The oracle

When you consult the oracle, your religion's details, any guidance you type, and (for Worldbuilders) its existing scripture and sibling faiths are sent to Anthropic to generate the text. Anthropic processes this under its own commercial terms.

Who can see what

Public religions and everything in them are visible to anyone. Unlisted religions are visible to anyone with the link. Private religions are visible only to their members.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Settings. This permanently removes your account, your posts and replies, and every religion you founded.
